JAKARTA, August 17, 2025 – InJourney Aviation Services (IAS) Group held a flag-raising ceremony to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence, honoring the spirit of unity, diversity, and the bravery of national heroes in fighting for freedom. The ceremony took place on August 17, 2025, at Graha Angkasa Pura Airports Field, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. Attending the ceremony were the Board of Directors, management, and employees from the head office, with approximately 850 participants in total.
The solemn ceremony began with the raising of the national flag, accompanied by the Indonesian national anthem Indonesia Raya performed by a professional marching band. Acting as the inspector of the ceremony, Mr. Wendo Asrul Rose, President Director of IAS, emphasized in his speech that Indonesia’s independence, achieved in 1945, was not the end of the struggle but rather the beginning of a shared responsibility to continue filling independence with innovation, achievements, and real contributions to the nation.
“With the grand theme ‘Unity, Sovereignty, People’s Prosperity, Advancing Indonesia,’ we are reminded that the strength of this nation lies in unity. As part of InJourney operating in a strategic sector, IAS Group bears a great responsibility to deliver professional, reliable, and globally competitive aviation services in order to help achieve national prosperity and advance Indonesia,” he stated.
The ceremony concluded with a joint prayer for the nation’s welfare and the success of all IAS Group’s initiatives. The spirit of togetherness was further expressed through Independence Day competitions involving IAS employees. Traditional games such as sack races, cracker-eating contests, as well as sports matches and other creative activities were held to strengthen solidarity among staff and foster pride in being part of the Indonesian nation. The lively atmosphere reflected IAS’s commitment to building a positive, collaborative work culture rooted in national spirit.
As part of this year’s Independence Day celebration, IAS Group also distributed special Independence Edition Teddy Bears to selected passengers at the departure boarding gates of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK). This initiative, carried out by the “Joumpa” team, was a token of appreciation for passengers’ trust and a symbol of shared joy on Indonesia’s historic day. The activity was fully supported by InJourney and InJourney Airports (Angkasa Pura Indonesia).
Through this series of programs, IAS not only celebrated independence symbolically but also conveyed values of joy, excellent service, and unity in line with the spirit of Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day: “Unity, Sovereignty, People’s Prosperity for an Advancing Indonesia.”
